Ahh the famous salad, a salad seems to be to go to, food of choice for those who are trying to lose weight but not all salads are created equal.
When I first began my healthy eating, I decided to have a salad from Wendy’s so I chose the Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad, it a salad right therefore it must be healthy, I mean I am having the green stuff rather than a burger with fries. After I ate the salad, I decided to look up the nutrition information for the salad and to my total dismay I could not believe what my eyes saw. This “salad” was 480 calories with 27 grams of fat and get this 1,100 mg. of sodium, yikes! And the worst part is that although the salad was good, mentally I was eating a diet food so I did not feel fully satisfied after eating this meal.
Therefore, please do your homework and make choices that will really fill you up mentally and physically and will provide useful nutrients to your body. Love what you eat because it will make you better!
