A few days ago my son suggested that we walk to the park when we go and I happily agree but my teenage daughter moaned and groaned and so I decided not to walk, besides it gets dark early so we would have had to walk back in the dark. I didn't know how far the park was at that time, fast forward to yesterday evening, my husband decided to take the kids to the park but I really was looking forward to running so I decided I will run to the park and yes I got a few weird stares and eyebrow lifts before they shrugged their shoulders and agreed. I went ahead about 5 minutes and they beeped the horn as they passed me and 25 minutes later for a total of 2.57 miles I made it to the park and I played with the kids. I felt such a sense of victory and felt very accomplished, I had NEVER even walked to the park let alone run.
The moral of the story is.......stop making up stories as to why you cannot exercise and just do it.
